At the recent members meeting we discussed opportunities to attend photographic opportunities together- not as an organised club trip (and hence not covered by club insurance) but rather as a bunch of folk with a shared interest. read more…
Welcome to Derby City Photographic Club
A brief look through this year’s programme will show any photographer that there is something in it for them with talks on various topics, competitions, both themed and open, and members’ evenings, which are as wide ranging as possible. The club also has quite a large library and members are free to borrow the books in order to improve their photographic techniques.
However, a club is only as good as its members, and like all hobbies, you only get out what you put in, so I would urge all members to try to get involved in the competitions, debates and actually helping to run the club. Any new member will always be assured of a warm welcome with some very experienced photographers willing to give advice if you only ask.
